Dr. Kam Movassaghi, former secretary of the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation and current president of C.H. Fenstermaker and Associates, is the 42nd inductee into the Louisiana Highways and Transportation Hall of Honor. The Hall of Honor is sponsored by the Louisiana Good Roads and Transportation Association, Louisiana DOTD, Louisiana State Police, American Council of Engineering Cos. of Louisiana, Louisiana Associated General Contractors and the Louisiana Engineering Society.
Gavin Cox has joined The Beck Group in the newly created role of chief information officer. Cox will provide vision and leadership for all aspects of Beck's information and technology systems.
Roy Raines has been appointed chief operating officer of Jordan Foster Construction. He previously worked as vice president of operations for the Jordan Foster Residential Group. Raines was also previously director of operations for KBR's federal division and vice president of the federal division of Jordan/BEK.
C. Scott Roan has joined TDIndustries as vice president of special projects. Roan will be responsible for strengthening relationships among the region's top general contractors and construction managers and seeking to enhance TDIndustries' work as a design-build contractor.
Michael J. Raftery has been named vice president and general manager of Turner Construction Co.'s Dallas region. Since joining Turner Construction in 1988 as a field engineer, Raftery has served the firm in several different roles.
Bury announced two staff changes.
Keith Young has joined Bury's Austin office as vice president, where he will be providing leadership in Bury's residential and master-planning practice area.
Jason Nelson was named managing principal of Bury's San Antonio office.
Brad Brown, vice president of Klotz Associates, will lead the firm's newly launched construction management services practice. The new practice will expand the firm's capabilities to include inspection and construction engineering and management, among other services.
Mark Frye has joined Parsons as Texas senior program director. He will support the pursuit of multiple design-build projects in Texas. Frye recently worked as a design manager on the $1.02-billion Dallas-Fort Worth Connector Comprehensive Development Agreement and on the $720-million Horseshoe design-build project in Dallas.
