commentFort Worth-based Hillwood has partnered with the city of Jacksonville, Fla., to serve as master developer of 4,474 acres at Cecil Commerce Center, a portion of the former Naval Air Station Cecil Field.
Hillwood will work with the city to direct redevelopment and rebrand the property as AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center.
Hillwood will establish an office on the property and is actively marketing the development to prospective companies. No dollar amount was attached to the partnership.
Hillwood also started the next phase of its 2,000-acre Heartland residential community in Kaufman County, Texas. Construction includes 111 lots on 20 acres, scheduled to be completed by year-end.
Homes will be built by Fort Worth-based D.R. Horton, North Richland Hills-based History Maker Homes and J Houston Homes of Red Oak and will range in price from $115,000 to $180,000.
