Construction was completed on five segments of passing lanes in Kermit on SH 302 by Odessa-based Jones Bros. Dirt and Paving Contractors Inc. The $2.2-million safety improvement project added three westbound passing lanes and two for eastbound traffic. The existing highway was widened in sections ranging from 1.25 to 2 mi.
