Construction began in Baytown recently to build a ramp connecting SH 146 southbound to Spur 330 westbound. It is designed to improve traffic flow, completing a primary regional hurricane evacuation route. TxDOT awarded the $4.1-million project to Lone Star Construction Co. of Amarillo. It is scheduled to complete early next year.
