commentWork began in Fort Worth to expand U.S. 67 to a four-lane divided highway in preparation for the future SH 121/Chisholm Trail direct connectors. The project will construct bridges, access ramps and continuous frontage roads and eliminate at-grade “jug-handle” connections to be replaced with direct on/off ramps.

A second, $12.8-million project will extend the road from Nolan River Road to Business 67. Ed Bell Construction Co. of Dallas is the contractor. It is funded through ARRA as allocated by the North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Transportation Council.
