Houston-based Smith Seckman Reid Inc. secured a national Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity contract with the U.S. General Services Administration for Building Information Modeling services as part of a multi-disciplined group of firms.
The IDIQ contract enables SSR and its partners to provide BIM – an electronic method of generating and managing building data during a building’s lifecycle, from design and construction through facility management – to the GSA regions tasked with managing new construction projects, overseeing existing building renovations or optimizing the performance of existing structures. The contract has a base-year and four one-year options with an earning potential of more than $30 million over the term of the contract.
