commentHouston-based Gowan Inc. - a subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc. - was awarded a contract for the installation of mechanical systems for the new Maternity Center at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

Gowan will install the HVAC systems in the new 790,000-sq-ft, 15-story Maternity Center and its 1,000-car parking garage. Completion is slated for winter 2011.
The Maternity Center is part of the Texas Children’s Hospital $1.5-billion “Vision 2010” expansion program.
