Utah DOT Selects Fluor-Led Team for $1.1B IH-15 Corridor Expansion

Text size: A A

The Utah Dept. of Transportation selected Provo River Constructors, a Fluor-led joint venture, as the team for the expansion of Utah’s IH-15 Corridor Reconstruction project.

The scope of work is along a 23-mi stretch of the existing interstate in Utah County.

The design-build contract value is expected to be in the range of $1.1 billion. Irving-based Fluor will book its 40% share of the project into backlog when the contract is signed and material financing has been resolved. Utah’s legislature previously authorized a revenue and bond package to support the project.

Provo River Constructors is a Fluor-led joint venture that includes Aurora, Colo.-based Ames Construction Inc. and Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Co. of Draper, Utah, and Wadsworth Bros. Construction, of Draper. Fluor will be responsible for all aspects of construction. The team also includes Fluor-HDR Global Design Consultants LLC; Pasadena, Calif.-based Jacobs Engineering, Michael Baker Jr. Inc. of Moon Township, Penn.; and San Diego-based Kleinfelter West Inc.
