Harris County awarded Manhattan Construction Co. the construction contract for the Harris County John Phelps Courthouse project to be located in the city of Pasadena.

The 64,000-sq-ft building will house a Precinct Two office in addition to offices of the tax assessor-collector and the county clerk, along with the Precinct Two constable and justice of the peace. The Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services air quality staff will also have offices at the new location. The $10-million project began in fall 2008. The architect for the project is Prozign of Houston.
