Neil Adams Project Executive
Gilbane Building; Chapter Chair
ABC Houston While the public building sectors are down, opportunities with private clients remain, especially among companies in, or related to, the petrochemical industry, Adams says. Gilbane and Harvey Builders were selected in June to build a new multibuilding campus in North Houston for ExxonMobil. Still, Adams says uncertainty around regulatory and tax issues related to energy companies are holding projects back. “There’s a lot of money sitting on the sidelines because of the unknown direction in Washington,” he says.
