Delta-Dry,
After two years of testing, Ontario, Canada-based Cosella-Dorken Products
has introduced a barrier wrap called Delta-Dry,
which, unlike other wraps that are porous or breathable, cannot be penetrated
by air or moisture.
Delta-Dry is a heavy, channeled polyethylene sheeting that Cosella-Dorken
said is the first house wrap product that targets a chronic problem faced
by builders - framing and sheathing that become wet during construction.
The company said that because the metallic silver membrane reflects radiant
heat and is impervious to wind and weather, Delta-Dry also plays an important
role in maintaining indoor climates and increasing energy efficiency.
The product is well suited for use under brick, stone, wood, fiber-cement
or vinyl siding and stucco exterior finishes.

Twin
Shaft Mixers
Mixer Systems has added a 54 cu. ft. twin shaft mixer to the industry's
longest line of mixers.
Capacities for the twin shaft mixers now range from 54 cu. ft. to 318
cu. ft. Each model comes with Mixer System's counter-current mixing design
that achieves 100 percent mixing coverage in as little as 60 seconds.
Twin shaft mixers from Mixer Systems use a two-stage gear reducer found
to operate more efficiently than three-stage reducers used in some other
mixers. While paddles, end scrapers and liners on Mixer Systems products
are cast for long life, these wear parts are designed for fast adjustment
and replacement.
Standard equipment on Mixer Systems' twin-shaft mixers includes a self-diagnostic
system. It monitors oil and motor temperatures, as well as fluid levels
in the hydraulic system and gear case. If any measurements get out of
normal operating range, the Mixer Monitor sends an automatic warning.
Also included is a hydraulic adjustable discharge door for full or partial
discharge. Pneumatic operation is optional. An automatic washing system
is also available as an option.
Mixer System backs the twin-shaft mixer and all its mixers with a 5-year
drive train warranty.

SiteStar
lube skid
Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc. has introduced the SiteStar lube
skid model that enables mechanics truck operators to deliver oil, coolant
and water to job sites. The new lube skid is significantly lighter than
its predecessor and is useful to any company looking for a lubrication
application that delivers contaminant-free liquids to their equipment
without having to buy a full-service mobile lube truck.
The lube skid fits in the back of IMT Dominator mechanics truck and consists
of tanks with hose reels to top off equipment fluids. A highlight of the
new lube skid is that it has patent-pending polyethylene tanks, which
are 80 percent lighter than equivalent-sized steel tanks. Poly tanks also
are designed not to allow foreign materials - such as the rust that is
so common with steel tanks - to contaminate the fluids, and the new tanks
also have done away with welding, thus eliminating stress points that
can lead to leaks. In addition, polyethylene offers UV protection, reduces
tank condensation and is proven to be impact-resistant.
Lube skids have a capacity of 220 gallons split among 55-gallon tanks
that come in eight possible configurations.
