Professionals Receive Recognition for Outstanding Service
A 28-year old Dallas architect is named to DallasCEO 30 under 30; Perry appoints four to Texas Workforce Investment Council; ACHA presents Lifetime Achievement Award to HKS’ Ron Skaggs.
Evan Beattie, an associate at GFF Planning, a division of Good Fulton & Farrell, was named as one of DallasCEO's Top 30 Under 30 commercial real estate professionals in Dallas. Beattie, 28, joined Good Fulton & Farrell in 2005 and was named an associate in 2007. He has a bachelor's of architecture from The University of Texas at Austin, is a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional.
Perspectiva has hired Saul Valentin as vice president of business development. Valentin currently serves as the chairman of the Houston chapter of the National Hispanic Professional Organization, as a board member of the International Facilities managers Association of Houston and as a member of the Houston Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Board.
Hill & Wilkinson Ltd. has promoted Paul Driscoll, Doug Talley and Gary Montgomery to new senior leadership roles at its corporate headquarters in Plano. Driscoll has been promoted to executive vice president of the firm's operations serving clients in the manufacturing/mission critical, institutional and hospitality/senior living market sectors. Driscoll graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor's of science degree in construction management and a minor in business administration. Talley has been promoted to executive vice president of the firm's operations. He will serve as the company's direct liaison with owners and architects. Talley graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's of science in construction technology. Montgomery has been promoted to chief financial officer. He will be responsible for the accounting, finance and administrative areas of the firm. Montgomery graduated from Auburn University with bachelor's degrees in accounting and mathematics.
TDIndustries has promoted Bob Richards, Ricky Hasserd, Dwight Matthews and Chuck Swallow in its Central Texas operation. Richards has been promoted to executive vice president for TDI in Central Texas. He is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and a past president of the Central Texas chapter of the ABC. Hasserd, Matthews and Swallow have been promoted to the position of vice president in the region.
Governor Rick Perry appointed four professionals to the Texas Workforce Investment Council, which assists the governor and legislature with strategic planning for and evaluation of the Texas workforce development system. Karen O. Bonner of Corpus Christi is vice president for philanthropy of CHRISTUS Spohn Health System Foundation. Bonner earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Wes L. Jurey of Arlington is president of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. Jurey earned a bachelor's degree from Phillips University in Oklahoma. Paul S. Mayer of Garland is president of the Garland Chamber of Commerce. Mayer earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Lutheran College. Danny J. Prosperie of Bridge City is the training director for the Beaumont Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. He is on the Texas Workforce Investment Council Apprenticeship Training Advisory Committee and the Southeast Texas Workforce Development Board.

Callison announced the hiring of Tom Hippman, AIA, CDT, as an associate principal in its Dallas office. He holds a master's of architecture and bachelor's of science from the University of Texas.
Ron Skaggs, FAIA, FACHA, chairman of HKS Inc., received the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award from the American College of Healthcare Architects. The award recognizes a significant body of work of lasting influence on the theory and practice of health-care architecture. Skaggs was chosen for the award based on several aspects including his showing great breadth, having influenced the direction of health-care architecture through practice, teaching, and/or research; his contributions to the profession of architecture have consistently been directed toward the future, with respect to the past; and he is widely known by the quality of his projects and contributions to the profession.
Corgan Associates Inc. has announced three new vice presidents. Susan Smith will support the Corgan Schools group. Smith graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a bachelor's of environmental design and a master's of architecture. Mary Hart will support the Corporate Architecture Team. She received a master's in architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. Tina Larsen has been named vice president of Corgan Technology Services. She holds a bachelor's of environmental design from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Corgan also announced four new associates: Harper Hicks, Jorge Gonzales, Liz Wilson and Randall Smith. Hicks earned a bachelor's of architecture from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Gonzalez holds a bachelor's of architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. Wilson graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches with a bachelor's of arts degree. Smith has been named associate, art director of the firm.
PSA-Dewberry announced that Randy Gibson, SE, PE, has been named president. Gibson has been managing PSA-Dewberry's day-to-day operations as the COO since May 2007. His career with the firm spans 20 years.
Mayse & Associates Inc. announced the hiring of Hui-Ling Huang as senior project manager. Huang holds a master's of architecture from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor's of fine arts in interior design from American InterContinental University - L.A.

Busch has technical, administrative, marketing and financial responsibility for all constructors operations throughout Texas and the Southwest Busch holds a bachelor's of science from the United States Naval Academy and a master's in business management from Central Michigan University.
