Corgan Associates Promotes Mitch Paradise, Adds Five Associates
Also, Corgan announced the addition of five associates to the firm's
Dallas office, adding to its team of professionals with expertise in
corporate, aviation, medical and education design.
Corgan Associates Inc. recently
promoted Mitch Paradise to vice
president of business development. In his new role, Paradise
will be responsible for maintaining the growth of the firm
by managing the development of new projects and new clients.
Paradise has been with Corgan for nine years. He graduated
from Texas A&M University in College Station with a bachelor's
of environmental design. Corgan's five new associates are
Dan Drennan, Mary Hart, Alexa Kapioltas,
Andrew Kirchhoff and John Trupiano. Drennan continues
to support the Corporate Architecture Team. In his eight years
with the firm, Drennan has had the opportunity to work on
several of the firm's major projects. Mary Hart has been named
an associate of the firm. Hart continues to support the corporate
architecture team by conducting an array of duties such as
design and client coordination, overall project management,
business development, project financial management and staff
human resources management. Hart has served in the Texas Army
National Guard for the past 17 years and has been deployed
twice during her employment with Corgan. Kapioltas continues
to support the management committee in areas of staff professional
development, strategic planning, corporate governance and
general administration.
Kapioltas has been with Corgan since 2000. Kirchhoff continues
to support the aviation group by leading terminal planning
and master planning assignments.
Trupiano continues to support the aviation group with design
and management responsibilities for all forms of aviation
projects. Trupiano is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Hoar Construction has announced
that Jeremy M. DiPiazza has
joined the firm as vice president of finance. He will have
responsibility for all financial aspects of the company. DiPiazza
was formerly executive vice president and regional credit
director with Regions Financial Corp. DiPiazza's prior experience
included responsibility for loan quality, growth and profitability
in the southeast and midsouth banking regions.
He was involved in the development and implementation of loan
policies and procedures and was responsible for management
of the regional credit functions.
DiPiazza holds a master's in business administration from
the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a graduate
of the University of Alabama with a degree in business administration
from the Culverhouse School of Commerce. Hoar Construction
also announced the promotion of Brian
Cook to contract manger. Cook has been with Hoar Construction
more than 10 years. Cook will be responsible for overseeing
contract preparation and administration. He holds a bachelor's
of building science degree from Auburn University. Since joining
Hoar Construction in 1995 he has worked with retail and commercial
clients throughout the country and in Puerto Rico.
DPR Construction Inc. announced
the addition of project manager David
Schuessler and project engineer Paul
Muenchinger as well as the promotion of Dave
Kloubec to project manager. Schuessler has 23 years
of experience as an electrician and construction manager,
and has special expertise on projects with complex electrical
and mechanical requirements. Kloubec joined DPR in 2001 as
a project engineer after graduating with a bachelor's of science
in architectural engineering from the University of Texas
at Austin. Kloubec is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Muenchinger comes to DPR with 12 years of experience as a
project architect, estimator and project manager.
Walter P Moore announced recently that Gregory M. Strube,
P.E., has joined the firm as managing director, civil engineering
services in the Houston-based company's Las Vegas office.
Strube is a licensed professional engineer in Nevada and California
and is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers,
American Council of Engineering Companies, American Public
Works Association and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
Carter & Burgess has announced that Marvin Fisher has
joined the firm as a program manager for Building Programs
department in Fort Worth. Fisher will support the firm in
program management, financial planning, land development planning,
facility operations and contingency engineering for national
Air Force contracts. Fisher comes to Carter & Burgess
after a 25-year career in the United States Air Force, where
he rose to the rank of colonel. He retired as one of the top
senior leaders in the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering Department.
Fisher earned a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering
from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1981, and a master's of
science degrees in engineering management and national resource
strategies from the Air Force Institute of Technology and
the National Defense University respectively.
Irvine Team announced that Nick Morrison has joined the company
as project manager. Morrison brings to Irvine Team more than
four years of experience with the construction of athletic,
science, research and health-care facilities. He was most
recently associated with Century Development as a member of
the program management team that worked on such high-profile
projects as the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute
in the Texas Medical Center. A graduate of Texas A&M University,
Morrison earned a bachelor's of science in construction. Irvine
Team also announced that Merrill Stanley has joined the company
as project manager. Stanley brings a ten-year project history
to Irvine Team. He was most recently associated with Century
Development as senior project manager where he was involved
in an extensive range of health-care projects, including the
revolutionary Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute,
as well as other high-profile Memorial Hermann Hospital projects.
He is a graduate of University of Texas with a bachelor's
of science in interior design and Texas State University with
a master of science in construction.
NewQuest Properties has hired
two new associates for its retail leasing and brokerage services
division. Cullen Kappler joins
NewQuest after working with Yancey-Hausman in Austin for two
years. Kappler is a graduate of The University of Texas at
Austin with a degree in government. Mac
Ruggles joins NewQuest after working for more than
three years as a mortgage lender with Wells Fargo in Seattle.
Ruggles holds a degree from the University of Mississippi,
where he majored in Spanish, and minored in English and international
finance. He completed post-graduate work at the University
of Madrid.
Pape-Dawson Engineers Inc. announced the following new additions:
Elias Alfaro, Engineer I, Eric Velasquez, Engineer I and Sean
Walsh, Engineer I. Alfaro received his bachelor's of science
in civil engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
He has joined a Pape-Dawson environmental team. Velasquez
received his bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering
from The University of Texas at San Antonio. He has joined
a Pape-Dawson land development team. Walsh received his bachelor's
of science in civil engineering from The Catholic University
of America in Washington, D.C. , and a master's of science
in water resource engineering from Tufts University in 2006.
Before joining a Pape-Dawson water resources team, Walsh worked
as an environmental engineering intern for the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers.
