William Utt Named KBR President and CEO
Utt steps into the top leadership
position at KBR following Halliburton's announcement in January
of its plans to separate KBR. The role of KBR president and
CEO was previously eliminated in December 2004 when the company's
business segments began reporting directly into Halliburton.
Halliburton recently announced
that William "Bill" P. Utt,
48, has been named president and CEO of KBR, the engineering
and construction subsidiary of Halliburton. The appointment
was effective as of April 3. Utt previously served as president
and CEO of Suez Energy North America.
Utt holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering
from the University of Virginia as well as a master's of business
administration from The Colgate Darden Graduate School of
Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
Hill & Wilkinson Ltd. has
promoted Jeff Sanders, Gary
Montgomery, Charlie Buescher,
and Steve Camp to new leadership
positions. Sanders has been promoted to senior vice president
- estimating. He will lead the estimating functions of the
firm in the manufacturing, institutional and health care divisions.
Montgomery, a 26-year veteran of the firm, has been promoted
to vice president - controls and administration. He is responsible
for accounting, controls, systems, computing, human resources,
sub/supplier pre-qualification and internal audit functions.
Buescher has been promoted to vice president - business development.
In his role, he will be responsible for marketing and sales
for both the manufacturing and institutional divisions of
the firm. Camp has been promoted to group manager of the institutional
group and will be responsible for serving as liaison with
the owner and architect with overall accountability for scheduling,
cost compliance and personnel management.
URS Corp. has named Linda
Summers director of business development in the company's
Dallas office. Summers' responsibilities will include architectural
design, and program management and construction management
initiatives for the facilities, transportation and environmental
markets. She will direct business development activities with
state and local agencies as well as with private sector clients.
Summers holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University
of North Texas.
PBS&J recently announced
that C.D. "Dan" Reagan
has joined the firm as senior
program manager for National Alternative Contract Delivery.
Reagan's background includes more than 38 years of service
with the Federal Highway Administration, where he led major
transportation initiatives throughout the nation.
Most recently, he was the FHWA's Division Administrator for
the State of Texas.
Irvine Team recently announced
that Lorrie D. Foreman has been
promoted to senior vice president. Foreman recently spearheaded
Irvine Team's $95 million renovation that transformed Houston's
Compaq Center into the new home for Lakewood Church.
Foreman joined Irvine Team in February 2003 as director -
project delivery and was promoted in February 2004 to vice
president - operations.
Foreman earned a bachelor's of science in civil engineering
from the University of South Alabama, was 1995 Engineer of
the Year for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, graduated
from the Navy Executive Leadership Program and served as an
advisor to the chief of Naval Operation's Pentagon staff.
Raba-Kistner Consultants Inc.
recently announced that Mark Wells,
P.E., has joined the firm as vice president of construction
materials engineering and testing. Wells received his bachelor's
in civil engineering from Texas A&M University in 1986.
Wells will be principally responsible for managing materials
engineering consulting and testing services, staff development,
project consulting as well as negotiations for all major engineering-related
projects.
