TDIndustries Names Harold MacDowell CEO
Jack Lowe, Jr., who will continue
to serve as chairman of the board, announced MacDowell's promotion
to chief executive officer.
RHarold MacDowell,
a 20-year TDIndustries partner, has been promoted to
chief executive officer. Jack Lowe, Jr. will continue to serve
as chairman of the board. MacDowell's appointment is part
of the firm's leadership succession plan.
MacDowell received a bachelor's degree in engineering management
from Southern Methodist University. He entered the construction
industry as an estimator through SMU's School of Engineering
Cooperative Education Program and began his career with TDIndustries
in 1985 as a project manager. He was named vice president
in 1989 and executive vice president in 1992. In 1993 he was
appointed to TDIndustries' board of directors and in 2001
he was named managing director.

Charles H. "Chuck"
White has joined Cadence McShane Corp. as the firm's Houston
office vice president - division manager. White will provide
executive leadership, operational management and extensive
sales expertise for the growing Houston office working with
vice presidents G. Dan Delforge and Craig Hudeck. He will
pursue new business opportunities for the firm and also manage
all aspects of the Houston office's operations.
White is a 35-year veteran of the construction industry and
has served in past roles as executive vice president for E.E.
Reed Construction and as president of Tellepsen Builders,
both Houston-based construction firms.
In his new role, White is responsible for the comprehensive
management and implementation of the firm's general construction,
design-build and construction management business operations.
White also provides leadership and direction for developing
and augmenting Cadence McShane's presence in major markets
such as industrial, office, educational, institutional, retail
and hospitality. He will spearhead the firm's expansion into
the growing markets of health care and biotechnology as well
as work in concert with energy-related firms to create additional
opportunities. White is also involved with the strategic positioning
of the firm both on a short- and long-term basis.
White holds a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering
from Texas A&M University. He is a registered professional
engineer in the state of Texas. White has served on the board
of directors and as secretary of the Houston Chapter of the
ABC and as a trustee with the Political Action Committee of
the Houston ABC Chapter. He also served as a board member
and secretary of the Houston Chapter of the AGC.

Vince M. Hunter was recently
promoted to vice president, director of design, with WDG.Habib
Architecture. For more than ten years, Hunter has been an
integral member of the WDG team. In 2000 he became an associate
vice president.
In his new role, Hunter will ensure that the design intent
of all WDG projects is maintained from conception to completion.
He brings more than 12 years of design and business development
expertise to the firm.
Hunter is a graduate of Syracuse University and resides in
Dallas.

Tom Lyons, chief estimator
for Yates Construction Co., will also serve as area manager,
the company recently announced. Lyons will supervise and direct
the overall sales, marketing and estimating functions for
the construction company in the San Antonio market.
"We are looking to grow quickly in San Antonio,"
said David Burton, vice president of the Texas division for
Yates Construction. "Mr. Lyons' extensive experience
as both a chief estimator and area manager for numerous successful
projects in the construction industry, make him ideal to carry
out our strategic growth."
Lyons has served as chief estimator for Yates for two years.
He helped break ground for the San Antonio offices in December
2002 and currently spearheads all progress budgets from the
design phase to the point of GMP delivery. He also conducts
the value engineering review at every major stage of design
development.
"As area manager, I will have the opportunity to coordinate
the estimating, marketing and sales - all combined,"
Lyons said. "Having all three functions under one roof
facilitates the efficient and effective control of growth
and will contribute to both our short and long-term goals."
Prior to joining Yates, Lyons worked for Zachry Construction
Corp. for 15 years.
Lyons earned a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering
from the University of Texas at Austin.
