Firms Grow Their Health-Care Expertise
Professionals with a variety of health-care knowledge take on new positions. Also, Stanley Consultants elects new leadership.
Equipment Collaborative's recently opened Dallas office announced that Kelly C. Spivey has been promoted to vice president and managing director. Spivey formerly served as senior associate at the firm and has more than 16 years of experience in health-care planning, design and facility management. Spivey is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and serves on the Committee on Architecture for Health and holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in interior design from Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss.
Rees Associates Inc. announced that Lesley Leahy has joined the firm as a director of business development in the firm's Dallas office. Also, in Rees' Atlanta office, Ken Baker joined the firm as vice president, national senior living practice leader. Baker will serve as a vice president on the Rees management team, and work with Rees' president and CEO, Frank Rees, Jr., to continue to build the firm's senior living practice. Baker is a graduate of Lambuth University with post-graduate studies at the University of Tennessee. He is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute; the American Association of Housing and Services for Aging; NAHB, Senior Housing Council; the Association of Non Profit Homes for Aging; and the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
HDR recently announced that Jeffrey R. Palutis has joined as a solid waste program manager based in the Dallas office. His responsibilities include growing the solid waste group, developing technical resources and responding to client needs for planning, permitting, design and construction services. Immediately prior to joining HDR, Palutis was the director of engineering for Advanced Disposal Services. He has more than 17 years of demonstrated accomplishments in the environmental industry including all aspects of landfill and transfer station permitting, designing and construction.
Terracon Consultants Inc. recently named several individuals to be a part of its new Senior Associates Program. They are: Robert Cords, national sector leader, Energy, Power Generation and Transmission; Robert Underwood, facilities engineering services director; Larry Goodrich, senior project manger; Patrick Beecher, senior geotechnical project manager; and Marlene Adams, business development.
LJA recently announced that Steven G. Young, RPLS, has joined the firm as a project surveyor in the Houston Surveying Division. Young brings to LJA more than 25 years of experience in land surveying including boundary, topographic, construction, utility relocation, survey for design, master control layout, first order monumentation, and leveling. Young is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Texas and is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
RTKL Associates Inc. recently announced that David L. Morgareidge has joined its Healthcare Technologies group of as a clinical systems designer. Based in the firm's Dallas office, he will provide structured systems designs and technology integration solutions to healthcare clients nationwide. An established industry expert, Morgareidge brings more than 29 years of experience to his position. Most recently, he was the network infrastructure manager for Children's Medical Center of Dallas. There, he led the design, installation, and cutover of a multidisciplinary information systems infrastructure that served 1.1 million sq ft of clinical and administrative space.
Morgareidge received a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in information technology and management from the University of Texas at Dallas. RTKL also announced the promotions to vice president of Eurico R. Francisco, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP, and Keith P. Guidry, AIA, NCARB Based in the Dallas office. Francisco and Guidry serve in the firm's health-care practice. A LEED accredited professional and associate member of the AIA, Francisco received a master of architecture in urban design degree from Harvard University in 1993. He also holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of São Paulo, earned in 1986. Guidry earned his bachelor's degree in architecture from Louisiana State University in 1982. He is a member of the AIA and is a registered architect in nine states.
Stanley Consultants Inc. recently elected Gayle A. Roberts, P.E., president and chief operating officer. Gregs Thomopulos, current president and CEO, was elected chairman and CEO of Stanley Consultants. Dick Stanley, current chairman, was elected chairman emeritus and continues to be a director of the company. Roberts has been with the company for 25 years, most recently as senior vice president and business leader of the company's Education, Healthcare and Industry business unit. She has a chemical engineering degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from St. Ambrose University. She is a licensed professional engineer in seven states and Puerto Rico.
