Perry Reappoints to Regional Mobility Authority

Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Bill Thornton of San Antonio as chair to the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2012. Thornton received a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University, a doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry, and completed his oral surgery residency at Baylor Medical Center.

In addition, Gov. Perry has reappointed David Allex of Harlingen as chair to the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2012. He received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University at Kingsville and attended the Institute of Organizational Management at the University of Notre Dame.

MYCON General Contractors in McKinney hired Bruce Barclay as senior project manager.

Hill & Wilkinson in Dallas announced that Greg Wilkinson and Fritz McKinstry have been promoted to co-chairmen of the company. Paul Driscoll has been named CEO and Doug Talley has been named president. Wilkinson and McKinstry will continue to provide strategic leadership.

Skanska USA in Houston announced that its building business unit promoted Matt Daniel to senior vice president of business development. Daniel formerly served as vice president of business development.

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. in Houston added Robert J. Fiederlein as senior program manager. He will use his experience in the public sector to strengthen current and develop future relationships with the firm’s municipal clients. Fiederlein holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas at Houston.

Corgan in Dallas named Jennifer Conrad as director of Healthcare Business Development. Conrad’s responsibilities will include the promotion, marketing and business development efforts for the firm’s health-care studio. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a bachelor’s of fine arts and a master’s in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Cherry of Houston added Darryl Samuels as business development specialist. Samuels earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and master’s degrees in community development planning and public administration, all from Iowa State University.

UniversalPegasus International in Houston has promoted Craig Pierrotti in the corporate role of vice president of business development. Pierrotti has fifteen years of experience in the energy industry and has been the director of business development for UniversalPegasus’ Offshore Division. Pierrotti will facilitate overall domestic and international business development at the corporate level.

SHW Group in Plano announced that its parent company, Group Affiliates, has appointed two new board members and elected a new chairman. Managing principals Derk Jeffrey, AIA, LEED AP, and Mark Lam, PhD, AIA, LEED AP, have joined five current board members: CEO Gary Blanton, AIA, LEED AP; COO Kyle Bacon, AIA; principal Don Hensley, AIA, LEED AP; managing principal Marjorie Simmons, CPA, LEED AP; and managing principal Tom Oehler, AIA, LEED AP. In addition, Simmons was elected chairman of the board.

HOLT CAT in Lewisville named Mark Lancaster general construction sales representative. Lancaster will be responsible for promoting Caterpillar’s line of compact construction equipment and tools. Lancaster has a bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University and more than 11 years of construction equipment sales experience.
