Texas A&M Health Science Center Campus Phase I
PROJECT COST: $105,000,000
Deemed a campus in a forest, the new Texas A&M Health Science Center will portray a progressive vision while honoring its natural environment. The 200-acre campus will integrate education, research and clinical facilities.
Phase one includes the 132,000-sq-ft Health Professions Education Building, the 134,000-sq-ft Medical Research and Education Building and an expandable central plant. Included in this first phase will be lecture halls, seminar rooms, medical simulation labs, research labs, vivarium and office and support space. Buildings will be concrete-framed structures with an exterior of clay masonry units and cut stone masonry veneer with glazed curtain wall and storefront system windows.
This initial phase will establish the formal campus entrance and initiate the campus loop road.
